Concerned over her safety in Kashmir, the actress had suddenly left the shoot and packed her bags to return to Mumbai after a crowd watching the shoot went berserk at a location in Anantnag. Though the situation came under control later on, Bipasha had by then already decided to leave Kashmir without informing anyone.
The unit of Lamhaa had faced a lot of hostility in the state and their shooting was disrupted quite a few times, leading Bipasha to declare that she did not feel safe enough.
Now it seems that the top cop of the state has assured the unit that their safety and security would be taken care of. Bipasha Basu has now agreed to go back to the state in Januray next year, when the next schedule will be held in the state.
Commenting on the news Bunty Walia said, " We are going to Kashmir in January 2009. Bipasha got scared in Kashmir as the crowd gathered there became excited. That's the reason Bipasha Basu left from Kashmir without even informing us.
But now that we have got assurance from Kashmir DGP Kuldeep Khuda about the cast and crew's safety. Shooting will be done in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir. Right now we are shooting for the film in Film City, where we have created a beautiful set of Kashmir."
The director of the film Rahul Dholakia stated, "We started shooting in Mumbai. We have only shot with junior artistes so far. Sanjay and Bipasha will join us later."
